In order to meet the requirements of the times and society for the cultivation of English talents, we have compiled this book guided by the Syllabus for English Majors in Colleges and Universities. The book consists of 11 units, selecting spoken topics and materials closely related to the lives of contemporary college students, focusing on improving students' abilities to understand and express themselves. It includes both individual speech exercises and dialogue exercises for two-person cooperation, as well as classroom scenario simulations for group cooperation. It is suitable for practice in English speaking classrooms and also includes corresponding after-class exercises and reflections. In response to the requirements of English major learners, ideological and political learning content is also included in each unit for learners' reference. This book is designed for use in the teaching of spoken English courses for first-year or second-year English majors.
