《英語口語教程:上冊(基本技能訓練)》內容簡介：理念吸納與采用“輸出驅動假設”理論，強調輸入與輸出相結合；突破傳統的英語口語教材進行單一口語教學的模式，將口語教學作為一個系統工程來進行立體建構。內容上冊“基本技能訓練”由18個單元組成，每個單元分為四大部分。**部分熱身訓練，主要是從模仿入手，培養學生純正的語音語調；第二部分情景對話，注重交際功能的訓練，選材與社會發展、學生生活緊密相聯；第三部分是與主題有關的拓展性課堂活動；第四部分為學生提供了課后閱讀和背誦材料，以增加學生在英美文化和知識方面的積淀，從而提高英語口頭表達語言的準確性和對文化差異的敏感性。下冊由演講與辯論兩大部分組成。演講部分將名人演講和學生模仿訓練相結合，將特殊情景下的演講和普遍性演講知識與技能學習相結合，使學生從模仿式的口語產出發展成積極的、創造性的、思辨性的口語產出；辯論部分旨在讓學生熟悉一般英語辯論的過程和規則，培養學生的問題意識，提高學生的知識綜合能力、批判性傾聽能力、快速反應能力以及辨析能力。形式英語知識的學習和英語口語技能的操練交織在一起，有模仿表演、看圖說話、故事復述、故事創作、角色演繹、主題演講、專題辯論等，不同階段的同類活動在難易程度上和形式上都有所變化。

We hear what they said and did; we see them as if they were really alive; we sympathize with them, enjoy with them, grieve with them; their experience becomes ours, and we feel as if we were, in a measure, actors with them in the scenes which they describe.The great and good do not die even in this world. Embalmed in books, their spirits walk abroad. The book is a living voice. It is an intellect to which one still listens. Hence we ever remain under the influence of the great men of old. The imperial intelects of the world are as much alive now as they were ages ago.
