本研究通過對一般過去時標記習得過程中的兩個主要語言影響因素即語音凸顯度和動詞情狀體的研究,探討了低水平的中國大陸英語學習者習得英語時間表達體系的過程。本研究提供了了解英語時體習得過程的兩個視角:一般過去時標記的詞形曲折變化特點和動詞本身具有的內在時間含義對習得一般過去時標記的影響。希望能從外部特征和內在意義兩方面較全面地反映學習者面臨的問題并探討問題形成的原因及解決問題的對策。本研究提出四個研究假設,用來檢測語音凸顯度和情狀體對一般過去時標記的影響程度和發展規律。

本書通過對一般過去時標記習得過程中的兩個主要語言影響因素即語音凸顯度和動詞情狀體的研究,探討了低水平的中國大陸英語學習者習得英語時間表達體系的過程。對全部語料的描述性研究和對分組語料的橫向對比研究顯示,兩種因素的影響顯著,但隨著學習者語言能力的發展,兩者的影響在程度上發生差異。研究結果表明學習者對內在意義的敏感大于外在形式。
